What to look for in an egg incubator

Please read through the following page in order to make the best possible purchasing decision. We have sold incubators to thousands of happy clients around the world and Surehatch would like to encourage you to join the club!

There are mainly 3 different types of clients who buy Surehatch Incubators – they are:

Hobbyist users – Someone looking to incubate eggs for fun and don’t necessarily want to make a business out of incubating eggs. Usually small scale under 100 eggs at a time.

Professional Hobbyist users – Someone looking to incubate eggs using the best technology and resources to their disposal. They incubate eggs on a continuous scale and will want to incubate eggs regularly.

Commercial users and Entrepreneurs – Commercial breeders are people who run businesses from incubating eggs and depend on their incubators to perform optimally in order to give them their maximum return on investment.

We cater for all of the above. Go to our products page for incubators that fall in your category.

Consider the size of your new incubator:100% Satisfaction Guaranteed from Surehatch

When buying a new egg incubator there are several things to consider. The first you will need to look at is the quantity of eggs that you would like to incubate. Many people only have a couple of eggs that they want to incubate and automatically look for a small incubator to suit their current or immediate needs. This is fine if you are only planning on using the incubator once and never again. Most people want to use their incubator again in future and therefore we recommend that you buy an incubator that is slightly bigger than your current needs. The reason for this we find is that people often buy too small, and then they need to buy another incubator in months to come due to the high yields that they receive from their Surehatch Incubator. Many clients think that they need to fill their incubator to its maximum with eggs. This is not the case with Surehatch Incubators. We have designed Surehatch Incubators so that you can put any number of eggs in the incubator, even just one egg and still get a 100% hatch rate!

Look at special features:

In a nutshell you need to make sure that the incubator you buy has the following features:

Highly accurate temperature control – We use highly accurate Ac-Q-Temp® Electronic Thermostats.

A way to regulate humidity – All our incubators can do this effortlessly

Durable construction – Surehatch only uses the best materials on the market

Easy egg turning mechanism – Surehatch uses the Ova-Eezy® Egg Turning System by Siemens®

Next you need to decide whether you want a manual or an automatic incubator. Eggs need to be turned several times per day. Surehatch manufactures both automatic and semi-automatic egg incubators. The automatic incubators turn the eggs 12 times per day and the user does not need to do anything with the eggs. With our manual models we have designed a semi-automatic turning system that enables the user to simply shift a tray from one position to another simply by shifting the entire tray. This takes no longer than 10 seconds and can be repeated as many times per day as you like, with the minimum being twice per day.

Automatic incubators work better than semi-automatic incubators due to the fact that there is less room for user error and the eggs are turned in a more controlled manner. If you are a small scale hobbyist user, semi-automatic incubators are fine. However, for professional and commercial users we recommend using fully automatic incubators. Decide how much you can afford to invest:

It is also important to consider how much you would like to spend on an incubator. Surehatch Incubators are built to last many years and the average life expectancy of our incubators is more than 20 years. It is therefore more an investment than an expense, especially seeing that you can make money from selling the chicks that you incubate. When it comes to buying an egg incubator it is recommended to buy the best. The last thing you want to do is wait 21 days for chicks to hatch and nothing happens. This is unfortunately the case with many other incubator manufacturers on the market, who make use of inferior quality material and designs that don’t lead to success. Surehatch incubators have been researched over many years and are guaranteed to work!

Don’t fall for imitations or fakes – Buy the Original and Best! Original Surehatch Incubators

Surehatch is the original and best. Many people have tried to copy our incubators but all of them have failed. If you want to buy the best and get the most for your money, invest in an Original Surehatch Incubator. We have unique designs and industry specific knowledge that we incorporate in each and every incubator that we design and manufacture.

If it doesn’t say Surehatch, it’s not an incubator!
