Our combination egg incubators feature two separate compartments, the so-called setter and hatcher. The setter is the section of the incubator where the eggs go in for the first 18 days of the incubation process. Thereafter the eggs are shifted from the setter to the hatcher, where the eggs lay still until day 21 when the chicks hatch.

The Surehatch Model 900 Egg Incubator can therefore incubate up to 300 eggs per week. Eggs are loaded on a weekly basis – Week 1, you load 300 eggs in the first tray, week 2, you load another 300 eggs in the second tray and then finally on day 18, you load Week 1’s eggs into the hatcher which then makes space for another 300 eggs to be loaded. In this way eggs are then continually hatched on a weekly basis.
